Skewed focus in the Chilean and Swedish criminal policy debate

Violence, drugs and migration characterize the medial and criminal policy debate in both Chile and Sweden. At the same time, the political construction of crime as a social problem needs to be better understood, says Felipe Estrada, prefect and professor at the Department of Criminology.
