Every year, Uniform at Work Day is held to highlight the role of the Home Guard units in society. This year, Adam Jacobsson, Director of Studies in Economics at Stockholm University, was a guest on TV4 Nyhetsmorgon.

Adam Jacobsson and Michaela Fornesten Lind were asked about their work as Home Guard soldiers.
How do people react when you show up?
”Very positively, I would say. People even applaud. We’re met with great appreciation, it’s fantastic,” said Adam.
Why is this day important?
”It’s very important to show off our work, that we are ordinary people who want to defend this country and what it stands for. Democracy cannot be taken for granted, as we’ve unfortunately been reminded of recently.”
