Ossian Prane defends his doctoral thesis in economics

On 12 June 2025 at Stockholm University, Ossian Prane defended his doctoral thesis about how climate policy and international trade shape the green transition in the manufacturing sector.

I hope that my findings on how firms respond to carbon pricing and international trade shocks can help policymakers design effective strategies to reduce emissions

The thesis, Essays on Climate Policy and International Trade, consists of three papers, in which Prane looks at how firms’ fuel choices influence the effectiveness of carbon pricing in reducing CO2 emissions, among other topics.
