Six students win the Cassel Prize 2024

The Cassel Prize is awarded to students with outstanding results in the first semester of their economics studies. The recipients of 2024 have now been announced.

The prize was established in 2006 by the Department of Economics at Stockholm University and is awarded to a maximum of three students each semester.

Gustav Cassel was promoted to the first professor of economics at Stockholm University in 1904.

Cassel had a background in mathematics and became highly influential to the economics field in the 1920s.
