Research at the Department of History is conducted by individual researchers and by research centers connected to the department. Current research is regularly presented in seminar series with different themes.
The seminar series at the department provide opportunities for both the department's researchers and invited guests to present ongoing research projects. Many seminars are open to the public. Some are interdisciplinary.
Researchers at the Department of history specialize in gender history, climate and environmental history, medieval studies, modern history, urban history and early modern history. These themes are also subject to their own seminar series, arranged at the department.
