Lappis (Lappkärrsberget)

Lappis housing area is located a ten-minute walk from Stockholm University Campus Frescati. Here we provide about 300 corridor rooms to exchange students at Stockholm University.

Lappis area was built in the late sixties and is located in the Royal National City Park. It’s a green area with buildings ranging from four to six floors. There are student corridors with 8 to 12 rooms and a shared kitchen.

The majority of the rooms are between 17–23 square meters and all rooms have a private bathroom. All corridors are mixed gender. The rooms are for single occupancy only and available for exchange students that are members of SSCO, meaning you need to be a member of a student union.

Those who receive and accept an offer for an accommodation in Lappis, will be able to join the student union after their arrival in Stockholm and there will be plenty of time to send in a proof of membership.

The rent for one semester is approximately between SEK 24,000 and SEK 31,000 (academic year 24/25).

Essentials

All rooms are furnished with a bed, mattress, desk and chair. Some rooms may have e.g. curtains, blinds or extra lamps and chairs left by previous tenants. Please note that you need to bring your own quilt, pillow, sheets and towel. Most rooms have a single bed, size 200×90 cm.

The shared kitchen is equipped with refrigerators, freezers, cupboards and stoves. Some utensils may have been left by previous tenants.

Internet

Internet is included in the rent. However, we do not supply wi-fi. You need to bring your own network cable and a router. Please note that network cables or routers from other countries may not work in Sweden.

Keys

The key set consists of an electronic key (iLOQ) for the room door and a key tag for the front door and the common spaces such as laundry room and a shared kitchen.

When using an iLOQ cylinder, the iLOQ key need to be inserted entirely into the keyway and then turned.

If the cylinder does not open, the key need to be removed and slowly re-inserted into the cylinder again. You need to buy your own padlock for your postbox and your kitchen cabinet.
