Photo exhibition about the National City Park
From September 1 to 5, you can see an exhibition in the Student House featuring nature photographs taken in the National City Park by photographer, journalist, and author Henrik Ekman.

Stockholm University is located right in the midst of the Royal National City Park, which stretches from Ulriksdal in the north, through Hagaparken and northern Djurgården and further over Gärdet to Södra Djurgården and the Fjäderholmarna islands. This year marks the 30th anniversary since the park was established as the world's first national city park. This is being celebrated in various ways throughout the year.
Exhibition with nature photos in the Student House
One way that Stockholm University is acknowledging this is by displaying a photo exhibition by photographer, journalist, and author Henrik Ekman. It features a number of photos that he has taken over the years of animals and nature in the National City Park.
The exhibition runs from September 1 to 5 in the Student House in Frescati during the regular opening hours of the Student House: Monday to Thursday, 06:30–22:00 and Friday 06:30–20:00.
Guided tours in the National City Park

Stockholm University has also chosen to commemorate the anniversary with guided walks in the park led by university staff. During the spring, walks on climate history, wetlands, art and nature in Frescati, as well as a 'batwalk' were offered. In the autumn, several walks will be arranged, "including Frescati – art and nature, inside and out" on 11 September.
The walks are free of charge but require prior registration.
