About me
I am a postdoctoral fellow in the Jonathan Martin group, in charge of the INQUIRE project (Horizon Europe), that aims to protect citizen health by providing knowledge, tools, and measures that substantially improve indoor air quality. We are conducting research and evaluating innovative actions to detect and reduce hazardous chemical determinants in homes, with a focus on exposure of infants and young children in over 200 homes distributed across 8 countries.
I obtained my PhD at the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC) and Barcelona University (Spain), where I applied novel analytical methodologies and mass-spectrometry approaches to identify and determine contaminants of emerging concern (CECs) in different stages, from their release until they are degraded (transformed) or (bio)accumulated. The thesis contributed to improving the understanding and knowledge about CECs occurrence, removal, transformation, transfer, and fate in aquatic ecosystems, agrifood environment and, ultimately, humans.
My interests combine all aspects of analytical chemistry, exposomics workflows and high-resolution mass-spectrometry, including data acquisition, raw data pre-processing and data analysis.
