About me
I am a marine ecologist with a particular focus on Baltic Sea ecosystems. My primary research interest lies in species interactions and how these are affected by environmental change and human impacts. I am also interested in how species can shape their surrounding environment and how food webs are altered when key species disappear. My methodological approach includes field experiments, mesocosm experiments, and field surveys, often combined with structural equation modelling. I have worked within the restoration project Thriving bays, investigating measures to improve coastal environments, and have also studied the impact of small-scale aquaculture on coral reefs in Vietnam. My current focus is on fish and the role of fish in Baltic Sea ecosystems.
Teaching
I have been teaching at the courses Marine Biology, the Environment of the Baltic Sea (Östersjöns miljö) and Ecology I.
