About me
I am currently a PhD-student in language education within the research school SEMLA (isd.su.se/semla).
Research
In my PhD studies, with the working title Fairest of them all? Novice teachers developing assessment identity in primary EFL classrooms, I will look deeper into teacher identity and especially possible assessessment identities. What beliefs and assumptions about assessment in English as a foreign language do Swedish student teachers and novice middle school teachers express? And how do these change over the first novice years?
As more and more weight is put on assessment results from policy makers at the top, seeping all the way down the system, assessment behaviour and cognition is a highly interesting field to study. A deeper understanding of the development of assessment identity could inform teacher education with the purpose of ensuring higher comparability and reliability in high stake testing, benefitting all students.
