Hannah Holmqvist Mohammed

About me

I am a PhD Student at the Department of Special Education at Stockholm University. I also attend the research school GiftED (Eng),  aiming to build capacity in Sweden in terms of research on inclusive teaching of gifted pupils. 

My research project, STILES - Gifted students' encounter with the Swedish school system: qualitative studies of students, parents and the school staff's experiences - (Stimulation Leadership Support for students with advanced abilities), focuses on gifted students and their descriptions, perceptions and apprehensions concerning the Swedish school and university system (education, treatment, environment and level of adaption). My interests also go to parent’s/caretaker’s, teacher’s and headmaster's descriptions of those gifted students' school experiences. Above all, my project aims to focus on particularly gifted students who attend schools in so-called disadvantaged areas, with low socio-economic status.

I’m a licenced clinical psychologist and specialist in psychological treatment and psychotherapy, a licenced psychotherapist and a psychoanalyst (IPA).

My supervisors are professor Mara Westling Allodi and affiliated researcher Attila Szabo.

I also teach in courses on ADHD and autism, and courses within the special eduaction teacher programme (see links below).

Nordic Mensa Fund has decided to support the application for my project "STILES (Stimulation Leadership Support for talented students)" in 2024. The decision on which projects will receive a grant is made by the Nordic Mensa Foundation's Board of Trustees with advice from the department's scientific advisory board, which found the project very interesting and is therefore happy to support it.
