Concluded projects

• Co-coordinator of the program ‘High-level Proficiency in Second Language Use’(2006-2013), funded by the Tercentenary Foundation of the Swedish National Bank (Riksbankens Jubileumsfond,  M2005-0459) and involving several departments of the Faculty of Humanities at Stockholm University. I have personally conducted the project ‘Idiomaticity and discourse structure in high-proficient second language use’, one out of six projects included in the program’s final phase.

  Festival Romanistica is an edited volume with 19 contributions written in four Romance languages: French, Italian, Portuguese and Spanish. The volume represents the whole range of research areas in Romance Linguistics today at the University of Stockholm: semantics, syntax, pragmatics, discourse analysis, diachronic linguistics, translation studies and second language acquisition and use. Five of the articles are written by renowned scholars from five European universities. The authors of the remaining 14 contributions are doctors and supervisors belonging to the National Doctoral Program in Romance Languages (FoRom). By virtue of its wide scope and the high quality of its contributions, this volume is of interest for, and will find a natural audience among, researchers of all Romance Languages departments and divisions in Scandinavia, Europe and worldwide.'Festival Romanistica' is the first volume in Stockholm Studies in Romance Languages, which is a peer-reviewed series of monographs and edited volumes.

  Tras décadas de predominio de una ideología que proscribe el uso de la lengua de base en la enseñanza de lenguasextranjeras y reduce la posibilidad de aplicarle un enfoque contrastivo,se reanima hoy día el debate sobre las ventajas y desventajas de una yotra orientación pedagógica. La presente contribución contempla daruna visión de conjunto sobre el campo y abogar por un uso juicioso de la lengua de base así como también por la aplicación de una perspectiva contrastiva, no solo en la clase de lengua extranjera sino también en otros contextos, como el aicle, la clase de lengua segundaen su comunidad meta, o la enseñanza de lenguas de herencia.
