About me

I am a PhD candidate in media and communication studies, at the Department of media studies. My thesis project focuses on discursive representations of female murder victims  and their bodies in Swedish True crime podcasts. Consequently, I am particularly interested in whether theories on objectification, sexualisation and voyeurism in media extends to the dead female body, and how this might differ between diverse bodies.

Additionally, the thesis explores how the multimodal affordances of the podcast medium is utilized for storytelling about murder, in the genre's paradoxical relationship between authenticity and fictionalisation.
