About me
My PhD project is entitled ‘Water use, water quality/quantity and biodiversity across landscapes - synergies and trade-offs in an era of climate change and modernization’. The overall aim of the project is to quantify the relationships between several societal goals related to water across landscapes and identify synergies and tradeoffs between these goals to guide policy development and dialogue. It is an interdisciplinary project with components of hydrology, human geography, development science and ecology. More specifically, I will investigate how smallholder farmers use water as well as measure water flow, water quality and biodiversity in watercourses along land use gradient and identify synergies and tradeoffs in southwest Ethiopia.
