Landscape ecology in boreal forests and tropical mosaic landscapes
Our lab consists of people curious about how biodiversity is distributed and maintained in both natural and human modified systems. We work mostly in mosaic landscapes with a strong human imprint: boreal forests in Sweden and tropical agroforestry in Ethiopia. Much focus right now is to understand the interactive effect of land-use and climate on understory biodiversity. We like transplant experiments and to put out microclimate loggers.
