Tanya O'ReillyPhD student
About me
I am a PhD student in the Department of Education at Stockholm University.
My research interest focuses primarily on innovative approaches to teaching, learning and assessment in the digital environment. My particular interest is in alternative forms of assessment which challenge the conventional forms of representing academic knowledge. These interests stem from theoretical knowledge I gained studying Linguistics and Digital Education, in addition to my teaching experience in Northern Ireland, Belgium and Sweden.
My current research aims to empirically explore innovative assessment of learning in digital environments in higher education.
Besides working on my own research at the Department of Education, my duties at the institution include editing research articles/papers/theses written in English. I also have taught on the Digital Media degree programme. Furthermore, I am presently a member of the following research groups within the department:
- Higher Education, Learning and Practice - SHERN (Swedish Higher Education Research Network)
- Didactics as communication
Supervisors: Professor Max Scheja, Associate Professor Anna-Lena Kempe and Associate Professor Stefan Ekecrantz.
