About me

Zakaria Lemmouh is a researcher and administrator at the Department of Language Education. He's a upper-secondary school teacher of English and Swedish as a second language.

Teaching

He has supervised theses in English linguistics and English subject didactics, as well as teached English linguistics and proficiency courses, English and Swedish as a second language subject didactics.

Research

Zakaria Lemmouh received his PhD in 2010 from the English Department at Stockholm University with a dissertation titled The Relationship among Vocabulary Knowledge, Academic Achievement and the Lexical Richness in Writing in Swedish University Students of English.

His main resarch area is Second Language Vocabulary Acquisition, but he's also interested in and currently conducting research on language use in the EFL classroom and English and Swedish as a second language education policies and practices in Sweden as well as language use and ideology among multilingual learners.
