ETT 2024 – a conference by and for PhD students in linguistics

Conference

Start date: Monday 10 June 2024

Time: 09.00

End date: Wednesday 12 June 2024

Time: 17.00

Location: Stockholm University and online, via Zoom

The field of linguistic typology is constantly evolving, driven in part by the work of young researchers. Following on from the success of the 2021 workshop series, Emerging Topics in Typology (ETT), a conference by and for PhD students in diversity linguistics, returns for a second edition in the form of a 3-day conference from June 10th to 12th 2024.

The conference will be hosted by Stockholm University in a fully hybrid mode – both presenters and non-presenting participants are welcome to attend all conference sessions either on-site in Stockholm or online through Zoom.

The conference will consist of keynotes by invited speakers Hedvig Skirgård (Max Planck Institute for Evolutionary Anthropology) and Laura Becker (Universität Freiburg), workshops on typological research methodology, and presentation sessions by current PhD students.
