Research group Rivero-Crespo lab
Catalysis for sustainable organic chemistry and materials science.
Group description
Our research mainly focuses on making organic chemistry more sustainable through the use of heterogeneous catalysis. We are a multidisciplinary research team working at the interface between organic chemistry and materials science. Our research philosophy is to design heterogeneous catalysts using advanced materials, investigate the mechanisms of organic reactions by combining different characterization techniques in order to improve the efficiency of the catalysts, and use the knowledge to discover new reactivity.
We are also interested in using catalysis as a tool for circularity in materials science. Our goal is to develop new catalytic methods that can allow us to polymerize and depolymerize materials.
