Research project European Model Companies Act
On 27th and 28th September 2007 a commission formed on the initiative of Professor Paul Krüger Andersen and Professor Theodor Baums in Aarhus, Denmark. The aim was to bring together prominent professors, each of whom could represent the various EU Member States, to draft a "European Model Company Act" (EMCA).
The Purpose of the project, which is continuing without a final date, is to propose a modellegislation for companies, which EU member states as well as states outside EU may use as a tool for inspiration similar to the model business corporation Act (MBCA) in USA. Stockholm University has participated in the project since 2014.
