The conference will provide an opportunity for scholars to discuss various acute social policy challenges, such as sudden unbalances in tax revenues and sharp increases in inflation. The conference is truly multidisciplinary and divided into paper sessions where subthemes of the conference are discussed, and plenaries with invited speakers. Conference papers are subject to a selection process. Accepted papers are published online. We expect about 80 participants for this conference, many from countries outside Sweden and from different parts of the world.

The conference is organized by the Swedish Institute for Social Research at Stockholm University in collaboration with the Foundation for International Studies of Social Security (FISS). The best conference paper will be published in Journal of Poverty and Social Justice.
