Research subject Modern History
The Modern History field covers the period from the late 18th century up until present day. A large portion of the University's historical research is focused on this historical period.
Researchers of Modern History can explore social and political history as well as the histories of gender, sports, urbanity, and more. Some examples of current research themes are refugee and migration studies, international aid, welfare politics and social conditions.
Researchers of the field gather each semester through the Modern History seminars, organized by the Department of History.
