Research subject Literature and Philosophy
Modern literary analysis is often inspired by and engaged in philosophical questions and theories. Philosophy has, one might say, provided many different theoretical frameworks for literary studies.
Researchers at the Department of Culture and Aesthetics engage, for example, in how subjectivity relates to power, how language and the body shape are shaped by the political, and how experiences and conceptions of self have been shaped in literature and culture over time.
