Research subject Environmental and Human Exposure for Contaminants

We will conduct fieldwork to determine if air concentrations of PFAS are correlated with tracers of sea spray aerosols and conduct modelling to determine if ocean-to-air transport of PFAS is an important source of PFAS relative to other sources.

This project aims to develop high-throughput methods to support nontarget chemical exposomics in human blood, including high frequency sampling and high-throughput analytical strategies.

A PhD student will conduct research to address the challenges in applying the essential use concept to uses of PFAS to support informed substitution of PFAS.

PERFORCE3 will greatly improve the understanding of these globally pervasive contaminants, find solutions for PFAS contamination problems and improve environmental and human health risk assessment frameworks and policies.

ZeroPM will enable the EU Green Deal‘s ambition towards Zero Pollution of Persistent, Mobile Substances. ZeroPM will interlink Prevention, Prioritization and Removal strategies to achieve its goals.
