Modern Arabic Fiction: Narratology and Text Analysis - Arabic

The course gives in-depth knowledge on literary analysis and will focus on theoretical perspectives related to a specific theme and to narratology.

Within the course students read fictional texts in Arabic based on the theme of the course, as well as secondary sources about the fictional works in the program.

 

  • Course structure

    The course is one module, 7.5 credits.

    Teaching format

    Instruction is given in the form of lectures and seminars. The language of instruction is English. Attendance at all teaching sessions is obligatory.

    Assessment

    The course is examined on the basis of a written essay assignment. The examination will be in English.
