Environmental Humanities – Environmental Humanities Orientation course
The course deals with environmental humanities as a field and provides insight into how to work with environmental humanities in different fields of knowledge. The course provides in-depth knowledge of how environmental humanities critically examine, broaden and understand environmental issues and sustainability work. Through reading classic and contemporary texts, a deeper understanding of the emergence of the field and the genealogy of knowledge as well as theoretical perspectives in the field is provided.

Course structure
Teaching format
Teaching consists of seminars, which may include lectures. All teaching is compulsory. The obligation is regulated as stated below under the heading Knowledge control and examination, point d.
Teaching takes place at a distance or on campus as specified for each occasion for the course. Teaching is in English. For more detailed information, please refer to the course description. The course description is available no later than one month before the start of the course.

• Demonstrate familiarity with contemporary uses of environmental humanities

The course is examined in writing and orally.
