The aim of this course is to give a good overview of contemporary astronomy. You will therefore encounter all areas of astronomy, from the solar system to large scale structure in the Universe. We will also discuss the scientific method as well as instruments and observational techniques. Topics we will cover include stars, galaxies, the birth and evolution of our Universe, and exotic objects like pulsars, quasars and black holes. Note that this course is given in Swedish.
