Specialized course: Law & Economics part II
The course Law and Economics part II aims to give students deeper understanding of the economic analysis of law. The overall theme of the course is to understand how financial incentives interact with the formation of laws and contracts in various fields.
Law & Economics part II is given as an elective course within the framework of the law program at the Department of Law, Stockholm University. The course is open to students at the Department of Law and the Department of Economics who successfully have concluded Law and Economics 1. Exchange students admitted by the department are also given access to the course.

After completion of the course the student will be able to:
- Apply key areas of law and economics and describe how these methods of analysis explain how socioeconomic effectiveness can influence and be influenced by the formation of laws and contracts.
- Understand how legal economic reasoning can be applied in different fields with structural incentives as a basis for the analysis and explain how different hypotheses can influence the analysis.
