Field Studies in Urban and Regional Planning
The course consist of field studies before a thesis for a master's degree
The field study course requires 30 HECs in urban and regional planning at advanced level.

Course structure
The course is carried out, with the support of a supervisor, individually or in groups.
Teaching format
Obligatory teaching is introduction, tutorial and seminar as well as field studies.
Detailed information, including grading criteria, is provided at the course introduction and via the learning platform Athena.
Learning objectives
After completing the course, the student is expected to be able to:
- plan, implement and evaluate qualified field studies in urban and regional planning
- reflect on and evaluate field study methods
- identify the need for additional knowledge within the chosen theme
- evaluate, summarize and formulate as well as orally and in writing communicate experiences and conclusions about field studies and chosen theme
Assessment
Examination takes place through a written field diary or equivalent, a written assignment and an oral presentation.
