Project Management in IT Consulting
The course provides theoretical and, above all, applied knowledge in IT outsourcing, i.e. purchase of IT services or transformation of IT, that is run in-house, into IT services that are delivered by global IT consulting companies.
All lecturers come from well-established IT consulting companies, which ensures the connection between the course content and practical project management within IT consulting.
You learn the strategies and methods that are used in global delivery of IT application development and maintenance, where a project is divided into several phases: decision, contracting, transition and transformation, and finally steady state. You gain insight into topics such as design and analysis of application portfolios, management of IT-services and IT-projects, profitability and key performance indicators (KPI) within IT projects.
We analyse concepts and frameworks within global delivery of IT services and management of IT outsourcing projects, compare the concepts and frameworks and generalise the knowledge.
