Mental disability - life-trajectories and life realizations
This course describes and problematizes what it means to live as an adult with a mental or neuro-psychiatric disorder, throwing light on the various approaches, the treatments offered and the support available to those with mental disabilities or undergoing life crises. Changes in symptoms and needs during the life course are also examined. The lifelong perspective is the point of departure for the course and central to the discussion on recovery and the importance of networks, family support, and social relations.
