I am currently a lecturer at the Department of Linguistics and a project member of the INVENT-project where we investigate childrens majority language compentence at school start in multilingual areas.

I am also interested in grammaticalization and have worked on progressive patterns that expand towards imperfective ones from a typological perspective. This process involves the expansion from marking ongoing events to occurrence with e.g. stative predicates and/or in habitual contexts.

My previous work includes the typology of progressives using the Parallel Bible Corpus, progressives in contact among a number of Caspian languages, the uses and origin of the dāštan-progressive in Persian as well as the typology of suppletion in nouns and adjectives.
