Bachelor's Programme in International Business and Politics
The Bachelor's programme in International Business and Politics combines business studies with Political Science and International Relations to provide a thorough understanding of the global world today.
As a student, you will acquire skills useful for a broad range of careers in the areas of international business, public sector organisations, and non-governmental organisations. Bringing together numerous disciplines, this programme provides a broad and comprehensive education, leading up to a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration. Studying real-world examples will help you understand the complex relation between global business and politics.
All courses are given in English. The programme is a collaboration between Stockholm Business School, the Department of Economic History and the Department of Political Science.
During the first year, all courses are offered by Stockholm Business School. The second year is divided between the Departments of Economic History and Political Science. In the final year, you can either go abroad through one of our many exchange agreements or choose courses offered at Stockholm University. In the final semester, you will write a bachelor’s thesis in Business Administration.
The program combines business administration with studies in political science, economic history and international political economy. Upon completion of the program you will be eligible for master’s programs in Business Administration.

Welcome activities
Stockholm University organises a series of welcome activities that stretch over a few weeks at the beginning of each semester. The programme is voluntary (attendance is optional) and includes Arrival Service at the airport and an Orientation Day, see more details about these events below.
Your department may also organise activities for welcoming international students. More information will be provided by your specific department.

Stockholm University's main campus is in the Frescati area, north of the city centre. While most of our departments and offices are located here, there are also campus areas in other parts of the city.

You will take undergraduate courses in business administration in four areas: marketing, accounting, finance and management. In addition, you will study courses that are directly linked to the global economy, focusing on political science, economic history and international political economy.
