We will discuss Julian Wareing's ongoing dissertation project:
The seminar on Tuesday, May 28th, will focus on my ongoing dissertation project.
The project is a contextual study of mammalian animal remains from Kalaureia (Poros, Greece), with a focus on consumption and animal husbandry during the Archaic—Hellenistic period, c. 650—150 BC. During this session, I will present current work in progress related to the analysis of animal remains from a specific area of the site. Moreover, the session is intended to provide opportunity for open discussion on ideas and challenges associated with the ongoing analysis, and the significance of the material within the broader scope of my dissertation.
