This event is organized as a workshop within the SU – Cambridge University collaboration run by Jaqueline Berndt and Laura Moretti, 2020–2023. Presenters: Dr. Laura Moretti, Cambridge University, and Dr. Ewa Machotka, Stockholm University, Department of Asian, Middle Eastern and Turkish Studies.

Laura Moretti, author of Pleasure in Profit: Popular Prose in Seventeenth-Century Japan (Columbia University Press, 2020), will deliver a paper of max. 45 min., which will then be followed by a reflection on how to engage with popular printed pictorializations of poetry from the perspectives of performativity and transmedial storytelling, held by Ewa Machotka.
