Hello economics PhD students!

In September we had eleven PhD students joining the programme in economics. Hear from some of them here and learn more about their experience at Stockholm University.

The 2024 cohort

Every year the Department of Economics at Stockholm University accept around ten PhD students. They join a busy two-year course programme together with students from Stockholm School of Economics and Stockholm Business School, before starting their research projects.

This year we have eleven new PhD students from Sweden, India, Iran, China, Taiwan, Italy, Germany, Portugal and Spain. Meet some of them here:

About the PhD programme in Economics at Stockholm University

Considered one of the very best in Europe, the programme is fully international in its orientation, and a majority of students enter the global economics job market.

Application for the autumn 2025 opens in November 2024.
