Johannes LidmoPhD student
About me
I am a PhD student in human geography since May 2024. I have a background in urban and regional planning and worked at the Nordic research institute Nordregio between 2017 and 2024 where I participated in various research projects within regional development and urban and regional planning. In my dissertation work, I am preliminarily interested in understanding the interaction between planning cultures / culturized practices in (spatial) planning and transformative planning, and the processes that affect the relationship between them. In short, to understand how the issue of transformation is handled (and understood) in spatial planning, and how transformation affects the planning cultures/the specific culturized practices in planning that exist in various planning organizations. It is also in my interest, and in line with my research, to explore how visions are put together in policy and planning documents; and how it is transformed into action and thus has spatial and territorial impact.
