About me
I am a PhD candidate at the Department of Education since 2021. I have always had a research interest in teaching with and about digital technology in preschool. My master's thesis concerned preschool teachers' pedagogical work with developing children's critical attitude towards digital technology. In other words, preschools work with critical digital literacy. In my thesis, I focus instead on how preschool teachers’ pedagogical work and learning regarding digital technology are organized, portrayed, and developed.
Dissertation
My study aims to investigate workplace learning about digital technology in Swedish preschools. This includes non-formal learning (e.g. preschool teachers' own strategies for learning) and formal learning (e.g. professional development). I explore the preschool teachers' everyday pedagogical practices with digital technology and their different interactions with the ICT educators in charge of professional development.
Education and work experience
I have a master’s degree in Early Childhood Education from Stockholm University and a bachelor’s degree in Preschool Education. I have also studied for two years computer networking at Mälardalen University. I have several years of work experience in preschool.
