About me

I have been a PhD candidate at the Department of Education since 2021. I have always had a research interest in teaching with and about digital technology in preschool. My master's thesis concerned preschool teachers' pedagogical work with developing children's critical attitude towards digital technology. In other words, preschools work with critical digital literacy. In my thesis, I focus instead on how preschool teachers’ pedagogical work and learning regarding digital technology are organized, portrayed, and developed.

Dissertation

My study aims to investigate workplace learning about digital technology in Swedish preschools. This includes non-formal learning (e.g. preschool teachers' strategies for learning) and formal learning (e.g. professional development). I explore the preschool teachers' everyday pedagogical practices with digital technology and their different interactions with the ICT educators in charge of professional development.

Education and work experience

I have a master’s degree in Early Childhood Education from Stockholm University and a bachelor’s degree in Preschool Education. I have also studied computer networking for two years at Mälardalen University. I have several years of experience working in preschools. From September 2024 to June 2025, I held a visiting doctoral researcher position at the University of the Balearic Islands, Department of Applied Pedagogy and Educational Psychology, in Mallorca, Spain.

Teaching

I teach courses on the bachelor's level in the teacher training program about learning theories and the development of teaching and in the human resources program regarding HR in theory and practice at the Department of Education.
