Research project Relationship law –- on legal consequences of personal relationships
The project aims to analyze to what extent personal relationships:
1) is covered by inheritance and family law in accordance with the Marriage Act, the Cohabitee Act, the Parental Code and the Inheritance Code, 2) can be regulated by agreements or 3) is covered concepts such as next-of-kin, and 4) the relationship's legal consequences in relation to those involved and to society and third parties. An overall aim is to identify legal constructions for personal relations that contribute to legal certainty, predictability and protection for the weaker party.
