Research project "We have no knowledge of children's sexuality"
The pre-school as a sexual education arena and a discursive space for educators and children.
The thesis takes its point of departure from the fact that preschool can be understood as a sex education arena. The aim is to create knowledge about the arena's sex education discourses and what opportunities and limitations for educators' and children's room for action it contains.
The study is based on two empirical materials; guidance material for educators about children and sexuality published between the years 1969–2021. As well as focus group discussions with professional educators in the preschool who discuss children's sexuality, sex education and the mission of the preschool.
