Research subject Critical theatre historiography

Critical historiography combines critical conceptual approaches to theatre, dance and performance history with thorough archival research and source interpretation.

A self-reflection of the historian’s position in the historical narrative is at the basis of such research. Critical historiography proposes inter-connectedness and inter-disciplinarity as guiding principles.
