Course Aim and Learning Outcomes
The course aim is for you to improve your language proficiency and to widen your knowledge of the Latvian language. In addition, you will gain a grammatical overview of the language from a general linguistic perspective, as well as an overview of classical Latvian literature.
Course Contents and Methods of Instruction
The course consists of the following modules:
1. Latvian morphology and syntax I, 7.5 HEC
2. Written proficiency 7.5 HEC
3. Classical Latvian literature, part 1, 7.5 HEC
4. Text analysis 7.5 HEC
Instruction is in the form of teacher-led classroom lessons, seminars and tutorials.

Schedule
