Public Finance
When should the government intervene in the economy? Under what circumstances is public ownership better than private ownership?
This course on public finance starts with a discussion of the role of the public sector. We then focus on market imperfections such as externalities and public goods. We also study related political economics aspects. The course finally deals with taxation and tax evasion.
This course replaces Public Finance with course code EC2106.
