Internship in economic history/international relations
This course is 20 consecutive weeks fulltime and comprises of at least 18 weeks of internship at a public or private authority, corporation or organization. The overall purpose of the course is to increase the student’s employability by giving the students the possibility to apply theoretical knowledge in practice.
The intern should therefore in consultation with the employer and supervisor carry out an internship where the student applies subject knowledge in an area of relevance to the labor market.
The student must apply for a relevant internship. It is important that the work assignments during the internship are of relevance, of advanced character and related to the student’s education in social science. The internship should be accepted by the course convener to qualify for credits.

Teaching format
The course consist of mandatory seminars and internship.
The seminar language is English.
Seminars will be held on campus or online, as communicated ahead.Assessment
The course is assessed through:
- Mandatory attendance at the host organization during the entire internship period. Additionally the internship must be carried out in alignment with agreements, which should be confirmed by of the host organization.
- An internship report that comprises 10-12 pages, written and assessed after by the end of the internship.- Participation in a mandatory seminar/s whereas the student’s internship.
- The course is graded individually in accordance with a two-point scale (G = Passed, F = failed) relating to the learning objectives of the course.
