Tellus II - Geology

A course in geology which is intended for students who have read Tellus I – Geology and plan on continuing studying Earth sciences.

The course is given 100 % by distance and covers principles of geochemistry, mineralogy and petrology, mineral and rock identification, and Swedish bedrock geology.

The course has an open start and you can read the course at your own pace. Re-exams may be held on campus.

  • Course structure

    Assessment

    Is based on a written/oral assessment at the end of the course. Assessment criteria are:

    A = Excellent
    B = Very good
    C = Good
    D = Satisfactory
    E = Sufficient
    Fx = Insufficient
    F = Entirely insufficient

    The assessment criteria will be outlined at the start of the course. To pass the course, a minimum grade E is necessary.
