Classical Japanese I

The course includes the basics of classical Japanese grammar and vocabulary.

During the course, the particles, verbal, adjectival and copula conjugations as well as declinations of classical Japanese are studied. Reading and translation of shorter texts are also part of the course.

    Teaching format

    Instruction is given in the form of lectures and seminars. All teaching sessions is mandatory.

    Assessment

    The course is examined on the basis of a written exam.

  • Schedule

    The schedule will be available no later than one month before the start of the course. We do not recommend print-outs as changes can occur. At the start of the course, your department will advise where you can find your schedule during the course.
  • Course literature

    Note that the course literature can be changed up to two months before the start of the course.
