Arts Management
The course introduces the student to notions central to the field of arts management, i.e. project management in the field of visual arts, exhibitions, and other forms of curatorial practice. This course is a part of the International Master's Program in Curating, including Art, Management and Law.
Theoretical and practical issues relating to both freelance and institutionally affiliated curating and producing are discussed. This can include questions relating to general and project management, marketing, budgeting, funding, and the structure and function of organisations. Research in the field is also used to facilitate the understanding, discussion, and evaluation of central concepts and strategies.

Teaching format
Lectures, seminars, and the production of a student’s paper, which discusses theoretical concepts and their relation to practices and strategies in the field.
Assessment
The course is assessed through the evaluation of an individual written component.
