Latin American Studies - Master's Course
The course aims at developing skills in howe to conduct an independent scientific research project, to be presented as a master's thesis comprising approximately 40 pages. The thesis shall demonstrate that the student has acquired theoretical and methodological insights and it should be based on comprehensive studies within a specific regional and thematic field. The thesis should comprise the following key components: the formulation of a research problem, the selection and application of method and theory,and the conducting of an investigation. In the course, the student will also receive education in the scientific and collegial evaluation procedure. This includes the ability to publicly defend the research project and to critically and thoroughly evaluate another student's project.
