Probability and Statistics for Teachers

As society becomes much more complex and the amount of information increases, the importance of knowledge in probability theory and statistics become more important, something which is shown in the schools new lesson plans. It can concern very different subjects such as the ability to understand diagrams, to evaluate ''scientific conslusions'' based on empiric research, and to see through newspaper headings about unlikely events. This course hints at improving this cunning which the student's possess, and give the students support with the probability theories basics and statistic conclusion abilities. The course puts a lot of focus on things which are relevant for future teachers. Partial moments which are discusses include: graphic illustration of data, the basics within probability theory and the principals of statistic conclusion abilities.
