Ny bok "Globalization, Political Economy, Business and Society in Pandemic Times"

Covid-19-pandemin har påverkat vårt samhälle på ett aldrig tidigare skådat sätt. Nu när Stockholms universitets campusliv gradvis återgår till det normala är det glädjande att se att en bok med titeln "Globalization, Political Economy, Business and Society in Pandemic Times" har publicerats.

Syftet med boken är att ge en holistisk förståelse av covid-19-pandemins inverkan på politik, ekonomi, näringsliv och samhälle i en globaliserad värld.

Globalization, Political Economy, Business and Society in Pandemic Times

Forskarsamfundet agerade snabbt för att studera covid-19 och dess olika möjliga samhälleliga samband. Under det senaste året har ett stort antal akademiska tidskrifter snabbt börjat publicera covid-19-relaterade artiklar, varav många har gjorts tillgängliga för allmänheten, vilket i tid har bidragit till ny kunskapsproduktion och spridning.

Ett multidisciplinärt förhållningssätt till studiet av covid-19 har dock varit sällsynt. Denna redigerade bok bidrar till den växande litteraturen om covid-19 genom ett multidisciplinärt tillvägagångssätt genom att ta upp både makro- och mikrofrågor från både lokala och globala vinklar i både kritiska och självkritiska toner. Boken består av 21 kapitel med bidrag från 32 forskare från en lång rad akademiska discipliner. Boken erbjuder intressant kunskap med viktiga policyimlikationer.

Boken är redigerad av två professorer vid Stockholms universitet Tony Fang och John Hassler.

Boken "Globalization, Political Economy, Business and Society in Pandemic Times" är en produkt av den 5:e Emerging Markets Inspiration Conference (EMIC) vid Stockholms universitet under 14-15 maj 2020.

 

Boklanseringsseminarium

Den 9 december 2021 ägde ett boklanseringsseminarium rum på Stockholms universitet (via zoom) för att markera publiceringen av den nya boken. Trettiotre personer deltog i seminariet.
